Patching a CMake file for my copy of SFML built from source seems to have fixed the last problem I had.
I am currently getting a segfault when I run the game (before I even get to the menu, which xet7 seemed to reach). However, I was a bit unsure about the make output, as it says, "make[1]: Leaving directory".
I can play with the debugger some more when I get some time, but I wanted to ask if the make output sounded problematic.

Metadata in TSC assets

Hi everyone,
TSC already contains a lot of original art that is not found elsewhere.
While our current license does permit reuse of most assets, I would
like to mark their origin in the TSC project.
SVG files contain metadata in form of the Dublin Core tags. They should
be used to indicate they're from the TSC project, e.g. like so:
<dc:source>The Secret Chronicles of Dr. M.</dc:source>
<dc:relation>http://www.secretchronicles.de</dc:relation>
Inkscape allows you to easily set this metadata via the document
settings dialogue.
The OGG music container format also supports metadata. For these, I
think it would be good if the music files were marked to belong to the
"album" "The Secret Chronicles of Dr. M.", and if possible, include the
link to http://www.secretchronicles.de.
I also think that the license information should be included into the
metadata of assets, but as we currently have the .settings and .txt
files for this, please don't start editing the licensing information
into the metadata now. We'll first have to determine if this is
possible for all formats we use.
Any artist of course is free to add the name of the work and his name
as author to the metadata of any asset. This information will not be
removed.
Does everyone think that normalising the metadata is a good idea?

2.1.0 release plans

Hi everyone,
I have observed people on the tracker compiling stable version 2.0.0,
which on recent Linuxes is subject to the black-screen bug (ticket
#500) caused by CEGUI 0.7.9 incompatibilities. Since only a minor
amount of people are going to complain on the tracker/forum, this
sheds a bad light on TSC.
With the CEGUI 0.8 and SFML upgrades merged, we ought to get out a
2.1.0 release as soon as possible. For this, we need to investigate
stability issues and do some more testing. Anyone please help testing!
Compile the devel branch and report any bugs you find.
A 2.1.0 release is not going to block something. The 2.x series will
be moderately developed while we work on the 3.x rewrite, which, as it
stands, is going to take some time anyway. Thus, if we add some new
enemies or similar, a 2.2.0 release is entirely possible.

CEGUI 0.8 port complete

Hi everyone,
Today I have completed the CEGUI 0.8.x port of TSC. I am going to merge
the `feature-cegui-0.8' branch into the `devel' branch tomorrow.
There might be some minor issues left, but the feature-cegui-0.8 branch
is not the place for bugfixes.
The branch introduces a major change in the editor UI apart from the
bare upgrading. The layouting algorithm for editing an object's
properties failed to work with CEGUI 0.8, and I found the way such
edits are done ugly anyway. I therefore introduced a second side panel
to the editor on the right side which will pop up when you double-click
an editable object in the editor. This way the layouting problem is
solved, and additionally, the long-standing problem of the property
editing widgets running out of thew view -- as could be explored
especially with the particle emitter object -- is gone completely,
as the new side panel is perfectly scrollable.
The runtime linkage problem has been resolved by slightly adapting the
build system's configuration. If you have set LD_LIBRARY_PATH or
edited /etc/ld.so.conf while you were testing on the `feature-cegui-0.8'
branch, please undo such edits now (and in the case of /etc/ld.so.conf,
be sure to re-run the `ldconfig' program after the edit).
