There have been no serious issues reporoted with RC1. There have been
some more lighter issues been pointed out that will however be more
suitable to be fixed in a followup stable version. For details, please

It was decided that ticket #447 and the according pull request #448 are
not to be qualified as a fatal bug. Debian packages will thus officially
first be available for a followup version, but using muammar’s changes
(when they’re finished) will allow to build a Debian package. See the
tracker discussion in #448 for details.

This is the very last possibility to discover fatal bugs. If none are
reported until that date, it will see the final release. Note that it’s
likely that the release happens in the evening hours (UTC+2), because I
will be busy with some university stuff the day over.
